WELD COUNTY, Colo. - Weld County District Attorney Ken Buck is fighting cancer.

Buck posted on Facebook Sunday night that he has lymphoma -- a cancer of the lymphatic system.

"As, some of you have been aware I have been dealing with some health challenges," Buck wrote. "Recent tests have determined I have lymphoma."

Buck said he will have a biopsy on Monday and begin treatment on Wednesday.

"I WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT IN PRAYER!," Buck wrote in all caps. "It seems scary, but I am facing this challenge head on."

Buck has served as the Weld County District Attorney since 2004.
