GREELEY, Colo. - The Weld County Sheriff's Office says a missing 12-year-old boy has been found safe.
Jordan Montano was reported missing at 10 p.m. Friday when he didn't return home from school. He was reported to have ridden the bus to Weld Central Middle/High School with his older sister and is believed to have attended classes throughout the day.
The boy's parents discovered Jordan was not home at about 5 p.m., and that he hadn't been on the school bus home.
The family started searching for him and contacted the sheriff's office when they couldn't find him.
Authorities said Jordan was found at a home in Lochbuie and had apparently run away.
Earlier, authorities said Jordan had no previous history of running away from home and doesn't have any known gang affiliations, medical or mental issues, and is not known to use drugs or alcohol.
