Weld County man sentenced in child porn case, had 20 images of boys under 10

WELD COUNTY, Colo. -- A Weld County man who was found with 20 images of boys under the age of 10 was sentenced Tuesday.

William McCrea, 31, of Johnstown, will spend six years in prison and spend the following decade on intense probation. He must also register as a sex offender.

According to the affidavit, the investigation was sparked after the victim’s mother found nude images of her son on McCrea’s iPad. The victim was 6 years old at the time of the arrest.

Officers also found images of McCrea’s ex-girlfriend’s son on his iPhone. Additionally, investigators found a video of two young juveniles engaged in a sex act on a laptop, which McCrea tried to destroy.
