WB I-70 reopens at Georgetown, mile marker 228-229 after crash

CLEAR CREEK COUNTY, Colo. - Westbound Interstate 70 has reopened near Georgetown after crash involving a semi truck.

Witnesses told 7NEWS the truck was empty and was blown over by a wind gust.

Video from the scene showed the truck on its side, across both lanes of westbound I-70. The cab of the truck landed in the median.

Because the truck crashed next to the chain-up station, many drivers were able to go through the chain-up area to get around the crash.
