Scott Strode is the founder of Phoenix Multisport, a non profit that helps people who are recovering from alcohol and substance abuse.
Strode is inspiring them to choose a sober life, through activities like climbing, hiking and mountain biking.
He's nominated as one of CNN's Heroes, putting Strode in the running for a $250,000 prize.
You can vote for him online through the end of November.
