DENVER - A van driver struck a teenage pedestrian in west Denver Wednesday morning, police said.
The 16-year-old girl has been transported to a hospital, but her condition is unknown, said Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson.
Jackson said the collision happened about 9:30 a.m. as a woman driving a van eastbound on Iliff Avenue was turning northbound with a green light onto Federal Boulevard, Jackson said. The teen was crossing Iliff in the crosswalk.
The driver, who stopped, was very shaken up by the collision and cooperated fully with police, Jackson said.
The investigation is ongoing and it's unclear if there may be citations in the incident, Jackson said.
