PEYTON, Colo. - After two bodies were found in a Peyton home, a suspect led law enforcement on a chase into a neighboring county.
ABC affiliate KRDO-TV reports that two women were found dead inside a home on Oasis Avenue, where deputies saw a suspect leaving the home.
The suspect, an unidentified man, led deputies on a vehicle chase from El Paso County into Lincoln County. There, KRDO-TV reports, the suspect crashed on Highway 71 and appears to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
El Paso County Sheriff Terry Maketa told KRDO-TV that officers hit the man's vehicle, forcing him to stop.
Maketa confirms there is an investigation underway on Oasis Avenue in Peyton, and that deputies are waiting for a search warrant.
The sheriff says there is no danger to the community.
