Townhome fire in east Aurora forces several residents to evacuate early Sunday morning

AURORA, Colo. - A townhome fire in east Aurora forced several residents to evacuate early Sunday morning.

The fire broke out a little before 3:30 a.m. at 18274 E. Arizona Dr. That's a few blocks southwest of East Mississippi Avenue and South Peoria Street.

Fire damage could be seen on the front of the unit, which was blocked off with yellow tape.

No injuries have been reported, according to 7NEWS Photojournalist Eric Goody who spoke to officials at the scene.

Residents in the units on each side of the burned townhome did not appear to be displaced, Goody said.

The fire was out by 7:30 a.m. and crews were called out to board up the building.
