DENVER -- Several ski areas in Colorado have already or are preparing to open, marking another season in the state’s long and notable history of skiing.
As we prepare our skis and boards for what is likely to be a busy and crowded weekend on the slopes, we look back at a time when the winter sport was just beginning to take off in Colorado.
