DENVER – Thousands of Comcast customers were without service across the Denver metro area Monday evening because of what the company said was a severed fiber line.
The outage was first reported around 7 p.m., and is affected much of the Denver and Aurora areas, as well as other parts of the metro area.
Comcast Colorado said that the fiber line was cut during construction.

The company said that crews were working to repair the line and restore service “as soon as possible,” but the company did not give an estimated time that service would be restored.
