Thousands in Aurora, Centennial wake up to no power

AURORA, Colo. - Thousands of people woke up to no power in the Aurora/Centennial area, according to Xcel Energy.

Officials said the outage was bordered by Buckley Road, Yale Avenue, County Line Road and Mexico Road.

Xcel Energy said it moved the load and power would be restored by 6 a.m. to most homes. Xcel expected all families to have power restored by 6:45 a.m.

Xcel Energy spokesman Gabriel Romero said the cause of the outage is still being investigated.
