Thieves stealing brass irrigation valves from DPS schools
Last Updated: 105 days ago
DENVER - Denver residents are being asked to watch for thieves stealing brass sprinkler irrigation valves from DPS property.
According to a neighborhood alert, at least 26 of the FEBCO 2-inch backflow valves have been stolen since the beginning of the year. The valves are valued at $800 each.
It is believed that the backflow valves are being dismantled and sold for scrap.
Suspects cut the valves off at the water pipe, thus causing massive water damage to the building, in some cases.
