AURORA, Colo. - Aurora movie theater shooting suspect James Holmes sported a new look in court on Tuesday.
He appeared with dark hair and a dark, bushy beard and mustache.
"He's looked more clean cut when cameras (are) not in court," tweeted 7NEWS reporter Marshall Zellinger.
When the public first saw Holmes in court last July, days after the mass shooting, his hair was dyed orange and red.
Two months later, a new mug shot was released showing Holmes with a new, close-cropped haircut. In the photo taken at the jail, he had a wide-eyed, tight-lipped expression. Holmes had a beard and mustache in that mug shot, but it was cut very short.
One thing that hasn't change much is his demeanor.
During that first public appearance, Holmes sat quietly and stoically. At times, he appeared wide-eyed, then seconds later, he closed his eyes and lowered his head.
During Tuesday's hearing, Holmes looked wide-eyed at times and occasionally looked like he was falling asleep.
