PITKIN COUNTY, Colo. - Officials say tests found no asbestos in the air in a Pitkin County government office building in Aspen.
County officials said Wednesday the building would remained closed through Friday so crews can seal off and clean up areas where traces of asbestos were found in dust.
The building was closed Tuesday after asbestos was discovered in routine, preliminary tests done before a planned remodeling project. The 64 people who work there were told to stay home.
The building includes offices of the county clerk and recorder, county manager, county attorney and other departments, as well as the county commissioners' meeting room.
