GREELEY, Colo. - A teenager has pleaded guilty to his role in chasing three others and opening fire after the victims decided not to go ahead with a marijuana deal.
Alyx Leach, 18, pleaded guilty to one count of attempted second-degree murder. Leach faces up to 32 years in prison, said Weld County District Attorney spokesman Heath Montgomery.
Montgomery said records show Leach was arrested by Erie police on March 22. Leach and Alexander Fein, 18, are accused of chasing the three victims in their car and firing several shots.
One of the victims reported hearing a bullet fly by his head, according to Montgomery.
Fein is charged with three counts of attempted first-degree murder-extreme indifference and a sentence-enhancing count of using a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
Fein is scheduled to have an arraignment hearing in his case Dec. 13.
