The tanker was carrying 5,000 to 6,000 gallons of magnesium chloride. The liquid had to be off-loaded before the tanker can be uprighted, according to the Colorado State Patrol. A few hundred gallons of diluted magnesium chloride -– a salt most commonly known as an anti-icing agent for highways -- spilled out of hatches and flowed over the bridge over the interstate.
The driver suffered minor injuries but was treated and released.
