DURANGO, Colo. - A Durango teen who gained fame after student editors deemed her senior photo too racy to use as her yearbook picture has pleaded not guilty to a charge of obstructing a police officer.
The Durango Herald reported that Sydney Spies is accused of blocking officers from entering her mother's home during a party in August.
Attorneys for Spies entered the not guilty plea for her because Spies is in California where she now lives.
The newspaper said Spies mother, Denise "Miki" Spies, was arrested on suspicion of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, obstructing a police officer and resisting arrest. The delinquency charge was later dropped.
