SUV involved in suspicious incident outside school is found, police say no crime occurred

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. - Officers and deputies have found the driver involved in a suspicious incident near Castle Rock Elementary School.

The boy told police on Tuesday afternoon that a man driving a maroon SUV with tinted windows offered him a ride. Police initially said the boy ran away from the man and was not hurt.

Investigators said thanks to the media and the public, they found the SUV and interviewed the driver.

"The follow-up investigation indicates the situation was misinterpreted, and no crime occurred," Castle Rock town officials said.
