Suspicious package found at Fort Carson; Gate 1 closed during investigation

FORT CARSON, Colo. - A suspicion package was found near Gate 1 at Fort Carson on Thursday morning.
Post officials said they closed Gate 1 to incoming and outgoing traffic as a precautionary measure.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was called in to check out the package.
The gate was reopened around 11:20 a.m.
Fort Carson officials said no information was being released about the package.
