Suspicious death investigation underway in Aurora after man found dead with gunshot wound

AURORA, Colo. – Police investigated a suspicious death Thursday morning on the southwest side of Side Creek Park after a man was found dead with a gunshot wound.

Police were called out to the park around 7:30 a.m. after someone reported a mannequin with a weapon in the park. APD says when officers arrived, they found the dead man.

The investigation was ongoing in the 19000 block of East Colorado Drive at 10 a.m. Aurora police say they are still gathering details on the death.
