WESTMINSTER, Colo. - Westminster police have identified five juveniles suspected of stealing weapons and other items from a home near Standley Lake High School last week.

Three hunting rifles and a shotgun were found near the athletic fields on Feb. 20, leading to a "lockout" security alert at the school while police investigated.  The lockout was lifted after police determined the weapons were not a direct threat to the high school.

During the investigation, it was discovered a burglary had occurred in the 9000 block of West 103rd Avenue. The home backs directly up to the athletic fields at Standley Lake High School.

Detectives were able to identify five juveniles suspected in the burglary.  Two of the teenagers were arrested on suspicion of felony burglary, misdemeanor possession of deadly weapons on school property and interference with staff. Police are working to get an arrest warrant issued for a third juvenile on the same charges.

The two remaining juveniles were arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor theft by receiving.

Police said they are prevented by Colorado law from releasing further information, including the juveniles' names.

The Jefferson County District Attorney's Office will determine if formal charges should be filed and what those charges will be.
