CASTLE ROCK, Colo. - Castle Rock police have identified three suspects in a house burglary and officer-involved shooting as the vehicle they were in sped toward responding police.
Police said the burglary occurred shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of Mango Drive.
Five officers responded to the scene and spotted a blue Ford Explorer outside the home, said police spokeswoman Karen McGrath.
A man at the wheel of the SUV took off, "swerving aggressively toward" officers on foot and in a nearby patrol car, McGrath said.
Fearing for his safety, an officer on foot fired on the SUV, striking a rear window, Cauley said.
The SUV kept driving a couple blocks, then veered onto a snow-covered roadside.
Police arrested Tshinbanda Kazadi, 23, for investigation of two counts of attempted assault on a police officer, vehicular eluding, second-degree burglary and theft.
Police also arrested Alexander Greer, 22 and Andre Greer, 20 for investigation of second-degree burglary and theft.
The officer who fired the shots has been placed on paid administrative leave. The name of the officer is not being released while the internal investigation is still under way.
