Suspects get away during a high-speed chase in Longmont on Monday

Police are looking for a silver BMW after its driver lost officers during a high-speed chase in Longmont on Monday afternoon.

The Daily Camera reports that speeds reached 100 mph during the chase.

At about 12:10 p.m., Longmont police responded to a report that shots were fired near 18 Ash Court. Officers showed up and found no shots were fired but there had been a fight about a car involving firearms, said Longmont Police Sgt. Joel Post. The firearms were used to assault a person at that address.

According to the Daily Camera, no one was seriously injured and one person suffered minor injuries.

Two people involved in the assault left in a silver BMW, Post said. The police chased the BMW north of Longmont and then lost track of the car. Police believe two men and a woman were in the car.

The Daily Camera reports that Larimer County officials issued a "be on the lookout" warning to authorities.
