Suicidal woman who hurled herself from moving car on 6th Ave. is expected to recover, police say

Incident snarled Tuesday afternoon commute traffic

LAKEWOOD, Colo. - A woman who attempted suicide by throwing herself from a moving car on Sixth Avenue during the Tuesday afternoon rush hour is expected to live, Lakewood police said.

The woman hurled herself from the car traveling in the eastbound lanes of Sixth Avenue at Wadsworth Boulevard at about 4 p.m., closing eastbound lanes and snarling commute traffic.

She was hospitalized but is expected to recover, Lakewood police spokesman Steve Davis said Wednesday.
