Storm cancels, delays hundreds of flights at Denver International Airport

DENVER - About one in every three flights at Denver International Airport have been canceled for Tuesday.

The airport reported 535 canceled flights at 7 a.m. That's up from about 300 flights reported at 5 a.m. There are approximately 1,700 flights a day at the airport.

The canceled flights include in-state flights and flights to major cities like Chicago, Baltimore and Austin.

Hundreds of flights have also been delayed. Airport officials are recommending that passengers call their airline before they go to the airport to check on their flight status.
