LONE TREE, Colo. - Firefighters with South Metro Fire Rescue Authority rescued a dog from the icy waters of a lake at the Lone Tree Golf Course on Wednesday, according to 5280Fire.com.

The website said calls started coming into 911 at 2:13 p.m. that a yellow lab had wandered onto the golf course and fallen through a thin section of the ice covered lake.

When firefighters arrived, one of them put on a special protective suit got in the water and helped the dog get back out.

No one was hurt and the dog was returned to its owner.
