Some schools remain closed after storm

DENVER – While most area schools will be open Friday, some have decided to remain closed after Thursday’s storm.

Only three area schools have announced closures Friday. Those are Coal Creek Canyon K-8 in Golden, Holy Family High School in Broomfield and Humanex Academy in Englewood. Front Range Community College- Larimer Campus is on a delayed opening.

Thursday, adverse conditions prompted closures at four Boulder Valley Schools and all Summit County schools. Those schools reopened Friday.

By Saturday, the storm will have finally moved out of the region, but temperatures will be around freezing in the morning and only reach the mid 50s in the afternoon.
