FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Three hours of intense weather hit the Fort Collins area Tuesday night flooding streets.
Residents told 7NEWS the violent storm dropped 2.5 inches of rain in one hour, put on quite a lightning show and some reported large hail that was up to two inches in diameter.
In one Fort Collins neighborhood, families were scooping up hail by the handfuls.
Wednesday morning, some streets and parking lots were still flooded with standing water. Visitors at the Plaza Hotel, and the nearby Sleep Inn, on the Mulberry Street frontage road found their parking lot covered with water in places. Several drivers needed tow trucks to move their vehicles.
