Snowy, slushy, wet drive across the Denver metro area Thursday

DENVER, Colo. - It was a snowy, slushy, wet drive across the Denver metro area Thursday morning.

The total snowfall ranges from two to eight inches, but two to six inches of accumulation was expected in the Metro Area by late morning.

Winter weather alerts expired at 9 a.m.

Snowfall began to taper off around 10:30 a.m.

"We will hold on to gusty winds through the late afternoon hours, but then winds and clouds should gradually clear out," said 7NEWS Meteorologist Lisa Hidalgo.
