BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. - A man was seriously injured after his SUV crashed head-on into a snowplow on Highway 93 early Monday morning.
Arthur Griffin, 48, was driving southbound on Highway 93 near Highway 128 when he lost control of his 2004 Chevy Trailblazer, according to the Colorado State Patrol. The Chevy crossed into the northbound lanes and slammed into a CDOT snowplow at about 3:20 a.m.
Griffin has serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
The snowplow driver was not hurt.
Griffin is not suspected of driving under the influence, troopers reported. Excessive speed for the roadway conditions is considered a contributing factor in the crash.
Highway 93 was closed briefly at Highway 128, from mile marker 11 to mile marker 13, according to CDOT.
