Smoke in cockpit forces American Airlines jet to make emergency landing at Denver International

Flight 1070 landed safely Friday morning

DENVER - An American Airlines flight made an emergency landing in Denver Friday morning.

Flight 1070 from Seattle to Miami was diverted to Denver International Airport after the crew reported smoke in the cockpit, according to American Airlines spokesperson Dori Alavarez.

The plane landed at 3:53 a.m.

Passengers disembarked and Alavarez told 7NEWS maintenance crews inspected the plane.

Airport officials said no problems were found and passengers were able to reboard the plane to finish their flight to Miami.
