BOULDER, Colo. - A small wildfire is burning in Boulder County, in the Sugarloaf area, west of Boulder.
The fire was reported to be 3.6 acres on the side of Peewink Mountain. That is near Forest Service Road 332.
The fire is burning on Forest Service property, a spokeswoman for the Boulder County Sheriff's Office said Sunday afternoon.
"Looks pretty bad. Whole canyon is engulfed in smoke," said Kimberly Cacey, who took a photo of the fire shortly after it started..
There were no structures threatened and firefighters had hoses around 100 percent of the fire but considered it zero contained on Sunday evening. They will be monitoring the fire overnight.
