BROOMFIELD, Colo. - Broomfield police and Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers are working to capture a small bear that has been running through a neighborhood near 136th Avenue and Cedar Street.
Police said people walking by were spooking the bear, causing it to move.
Jennifer Churchill, with CPAW, said they hope after the neighborhood quiets down, the bear will escape tonight on its own through the many drainages in the area. She estimated the bear was about 90 pounds and 2 years old.
Christopher Darling took photos of the bear in his back yard during earlier efforts to corral the animal.
