COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Jurors at the trial of accused sniper shooter Bruce Nozolino are returning to court after they were sent home two hours early Thursday over complaints a juror repeatedly fell asleep.
Presiding judge Victor Reyes made the decision to adjourn early after ordering the courtroom cleared to discuss the issue with attorneys.
According to the Colorado Springs Gazette, all 12 jurors and three alternates are being allowed to return as the trial continues.
Nozolino is on trial in what prosecutors characterize as a decade-long series of revenge shootings that included two attacks on a lawyer who represented Nozolino's ex-wife, Beverly, in a contentious divorce case that began in the 1990s.
Attorneys for Nozolino say the victim identified other possible suspects in the attacks.
