A skier died after colliding with another skier on the slopes at Breckenridge Monday. Now investigators want to talk to anyone who saw it happen.

The skiers collided under the Peak 8 Super Connect chairlift between 12 and 12:15 p.m.

Both men were on the expert "Tiger" ski run, near tower 25, above the mid-load station.

"Breckenridge Ski Patrol arrived at the scene at approximately 12:30 p.m. and provided emergency
care," resort officials said. "The guest was subsequently pronounced deceased by medical staff at St. Anthony Summit Medical Center in Frisco."

The man who died was 43 years old and was from New Jersey. Investigators have not released his name.

The other skier, a man from Colorado, remained on the scene but investigators would like to speak to anyone who saw the collision to corroborate his version of the events.

“Breckenridge Ski Resort, Breckenridge Ski Patrol and the entire Vail Resorts family extend our deepest
sympathy and support to our guest’s family and friends,” said John Buhler, Breckenridge Ski Resort’s Chief
Operating Officer.
