Sketch released after teen grabbed walking on Longmont street

LONGMONT, Colo. - Longmont Police are looking for a man who tried to grab a 13-year-old girl off the street.

According to police, the teen was walking on the sidewalk on the north side of 17th Avenue just after 6 p.m. Tuesday when a man drove up in a pickup truck, got out and grabbed the girl's arm.

The girl told him, "No!" and pulled away, while kicking him in the shin.

Police said the man didn't pursue her but got back in his truck and left, going east on 17th Avenue.

Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic man with no facial hair.  He is approximately 6 feet tall and appeared to be between the ages of 20 and 30.  He was wearing a black short-sleeved shirt, and a black skull cap under his black baseball cap with a red bull on it.

The man was possibly driving a red Ford F-150 pickup with an extended cab.  The pickup is likely several years old, police said.  The bed of the pickup was covered with a dark tarp.

If you see someone matching the description of the man in the police sketch or a similar looking vehicle, please contact Longmont police.
