Shot in head, woman ID's assault suspects

Police: Suspects considered armed and dangerous

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A woman who was shot in the head late last month in Colorado Springs has been able to identify two suspects in her attack, police said Thursday.

The woman was found assaulted and shot at North Seventh and West Bijou streets at about 10 a.m. on Dec. 28 by someone walking a dog.

The woman was initially conscious but could not provide detailed information before being heavily sedated, police said. She remained in critical condition for several days but her condition improved, and police said she was able to confirm information investigators were able to obtain on the suspects in the shooting.

Arrest warrants have been issued for two suspects, charging them with first-degree kidnapping and attempted first-degree murder.

Police are asking for the public's help in locating Hamilton Lee Sullivan, 20, and Jorge Luis Pilo Hernandez, 36.  Both are considered armed and dangerous.
