Shooting suspect arrested in Littleton slaying

LITTLETON, Colo. - A suspect in a Friday night slaying in Littleton has been arrested.

Littleton police identified the suspect as Dion Rankin and said he was being held for investigation of first-degree murder.  Rankin turned 20 on Monday.

The Friday night incident was reported as shots fired just after 11 p.m. in the 5400 block of South Fox Street, near West Crestline Avenue.  Police were only a block away and found a 17- and 18-year-old lying in the street. 

Police said Da Von Flores died at the scene. The 17-year-old was rushed to the hospital.  He was not identified because he is a juvenile.

An investigation found the altercation began at a nearby house party on Fox Street.

Police did not say where Rankin was arrested.
