Shooting near Sports Authority Field in Denver sends one person to hospital Thursday

DENVER - Denver police are investigating a shooting near Sports Authority Field.

Denver police confirm one person was shot just before 3 a.m. at 1605 Federal Boulevard, just a block west of the Broncos' stadium. There is a Denny's restaurant at that address, but neither police nor restaurant managers would confirm whether the person was shot inside.

One person was transported to the hospital, but is expected to survive, according to Denver police.

Police could not provide any suspect information.
