JEFFERSON COUNTY — An intoxicated 40-year-old escaped in a car from an intervention program in Golden Monday afternoon. Deputies were still looking for the man as of noon Tuesday.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said Ryan Morgan escaped from a work release intervention program held at 17720 S. Golden Road, Golden. The sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s helping finding him.

Around 2:10 p.m., an employee of the intervention program called the sheriff's office and requested that deputies respond to take custody of Morgan, who was intoxicated and belligerent.

As deputies started to respond to the scene, employees reported that Morgan had left the facility and drove off in a silver sedan of an unknown make or model. Jefferson County Sherif's Office PIO Mark Techmeyer said it wasn't clear if he was driving the car or had somebody driving him.

He said the main concern is that Morgan walked away from the program and as of Tuesday at noon, hadn't returned or been found.

Morgan was in custody on an impaired driving charge.

The sheriff’s office encourages anybody who sees Morgan to call 303-277-0211.
