DENVER - Does a sex offender live in your neighborhood?
It's easy to check.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has relaunched its sex offender website with more information. In addition to the offender's address, website users will see a photo of the offender and more information about their offense.
"The new site will allow visitors to see specific convictions such as lewd acts on a child or sexual assault by a person in a position of trust," CBI officials said.
Residents will also be able to sign up, by zip code, for a weekly email listing new offenders that have moved into their area.
The CBI said it currently lists more than 16,000 records in its system.
