Severe weather hits La Junta, leaves piles of hail

LA JUNTA, Colo. - When a severe thunderstorm hit Otero County on Thursday night, it dumped hail on Highway 50 in La Junta.
Photos from La Junta Fire Chief Aaron Eveatt showed heavy equipment had to be brought up to plow through the piles of hail.
In one photo, a worker is seen in hail that is more than knee-deep.
