A serial crook is accused of using stolen credit card numbers to make fake cards that he used to purchase real pre-paid cards at multiple grocery stores. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office hopes the public can help to identify the suspect.
The Sheriff's Office says they've spotted this suspect on surveillance video at King Soopers stores. The first was on June 22, at 6412 S Parker Rd., in Aurora, the second on July 11, at 8673 S. Quebec St., in Highlands Ranch, and then again on July 18 at 4600 Leetsdale Dr., in Glendale.
In each of the surveillance photos from the stores, the suspect is wearing a dress shirt and slacks.
Investigators aren't revealing how the suspect obtains the credit card numbers or manufactures the fake cards to protect the case they are building, said sheriff's office spokeswoman Deborah Sherman.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to contact Detective Herring at 303-660-7504.
