Scooter rider killed in Denver crash with second vehicle

DENVER - The rider of a scooter died Saturday afternoon at 8th Avenue and Quebec Street in Denver after colliding with another vehicle.

According to police, the rider was taken to a hospital and was pronounced dead. Tuesday, the rider was identified by the Denver Medical Examiner as Deborah Hudes, 53, of Denver.

The cause of death was determined to be multiple injuries.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the collision remained at the scene. The crash happened just after 3 p.m.

On Sunday, police spokesman Sonny Jackson said the driver was given a summons for reckless driving resulting in death but he didn't have her name.
