DENVER – Like it or not, self-driving vehicles are coming – and you have a chance to experience our autonomous future Wednesday.

RTD is demonstrating a driverless shuttle outside the parking lot of the Pepsi Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The transit agency is inviting the public to ride in the shuttle as makes its way around a pre-established course in the Prius North parking

The EZ10 driverless shuttle is completely electric and can accommodate up to a dozen people at a time while cruising at speeds of 12 mph.

RTD says while it currently has no plans to purchase any of the shuttles from the French manufacturer, the transit district says autonomous technology is the future of public transit.
