RTD wants to be the official designated driver on New Year's Eve.
Free rides will be offered on all regularly scheduled buses and trains, as well as Access-a-Ride and SkyRide.
The service begins at 7 p.m. on Thursday and ends at 12 a.m. Jan. 2.
Everything will operate on a normal schedule on Dec. 31 and on a holiday schedule on Jan. 1. Service hours will not be extended.
A high volume of passengers is expected.
RTD has offered the free service for the last 25 years.
