THORNTON, Colo. - A police chase through Northglenn and Thornton ended with a crash Thursday morning that left a suspected stolen vehicle upside down and at least six people hurt.
Thornton police said Northglenn officers were chasing a suspected stolen vehicle around 5:15 a.m. when the vehicle went into Thornton.
Investigators said the suspected stolen vehicle did not stop for the red light at the intersection of Washington Street and Thornton Parkway and collided with another vehicle.
Police said the suspected stolen vehicle rolled over in the crash and the driver tried to run, but was captured. He and three other people in his vehicle were taken to the hospital.
At least two people in the other vehicle were also taken to the hospital.
The identities and conditions of those involved have not been released.
The North Metro Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating.
