Rockslide closes Loveland Pass

CLEAR CREEK COUNTY, Colo. - Loveland Pass remained closed Wednesday morning because of a rockslide.

The Colorado Department of Transportation said the slide occurred Tuesday at 4:16 p.m.

The rockslide is about 75 feet wide and and 7 feet deep on the eastern side of Loveland Pass.

Once the road is cleared, CDOT geotech crews will evaluate the stability of the slope where debris slid from about 150 feet up from the roadway.
