Serial robbery suspect crashes SUV near Florida and Osceola following police chase in Denver

Police: Robber hit three stores in 45 minutes

DENVER - Denver Police say a robber hit three stores in 45 minutes before leading officers on a chase and crashing into another car.

 

Police spokesman Sonny Jackson said the driver of the SUV robbed the Bradley gas  was wanted for robbing a Bradley's Gas Station, Level 7 Games and Ritas Records at 3606 Morrison Rd. between 12:07p.m. and 12:41 p.m. 

"He came in and said he had one final question and asked us to empty the register," said Tom Ward, a clerk at Level 7 Games. "I told him no and to get out. And he was like, 'Are we cool?' and I said, 'No, we're not cool. You just tried to rob us.'"

Police caught up to his vehicle and chased him until he crashed into another car. 

The SUV, a bronze-colored Chevrolet Trail Blazer, came to rest on the driver's side near the intersection of Florida and Osceola. The green street signs and the stop sign were taken out by the wreck.

Jackson said the suspect was taken into custody ten minutes later. and a gun was recovered by officers.

They also arrested the driver of the other car hit, Jackson said, because he had meth on him.

"We caught two crooks in one caper," Jackson said.
