Rio Blanco County Sheriff confirms 7-year-old boy was found Saturday night

Boy was missing for seven hours

  Police closed off the street as they examined the crime scene where the two children were stabbed to death.

MEEKER, Colo. - A 7-year-old boy who was reported missing early Saturday afternoon was found Saturday night,  according to Rio Blanco County Sheriff's dispatch.

The sheriff's office said the boy was found around 11:05 p.m.

Earlier in the day, search crews went out looking for the boy who was reported missing around 4:30 p.m. in the Dry Creek area off of County Road 8. 

At the time, he was last seen walking his blue merle dog named Lexie.

The sheriff's office said search and rescue crews, search dogs and a helicopter helped in the search.
